1. Set attainable short and long-term measurable goals to learn new words consciously is the best strategy you could start with!
Setting attainable goals is also an excellent way to keep yourself motivated while learning a new language. And while you do so, I recommend you dedicate at least 2 hours learning and 2 hours of practising the Kannada language. If you’re not sure what to do, I suggest following the below-mentioned recommendations:
Begin with a Single Goal
Make a list of your long-term and short-term goals.
Be Specific When Measuring Actions and Progress
Set goals that you truly want to achieve.
Be realistic
Do not be overzealous or overambitious and bring yourself to the misery if burnout.
2.Use latest softwares
Today’s’ there are much software available on the internet that you can use to learn Kannada vocabulary fast. Anki, SRS are some of the best software that can help you to learn vocabulary with long-term memorization. This software manages the word in such a manner that it will be easy to learn. You can use these software’s on your phone or laptop as per your convenience.
3. Make a list of cognates
This is one of the best techniques to learn words of any language. You just have to find the same words in Kannada and in your native language. These are the words whose meanings are the same or make the same sound.
Once you have identified and collected some of the cognates, write them on a piece of paper in such a way that one column consists of Kannada words and other English or your native language.
You can also stick this paper to the wall where your study table is present.
By this technique, you can learn Kannada words very fast and memrise them quickly.
4. Repetition is the key
Sometimes it happens with most of us that we learn a Kannada word so fast and quickly and suddenly we forget it in about 2-3 days. So, as I mentioned, ‘Repetition is the key’. When you learn words you must repeat them daily for 15-20 min.
Only 15-20 minutes Daily can do what 2 hours of continuous study can’t do. Daily small parts of study can’t make you bored and you also have sufficient energy for the repetition of old words.
5.Practice your skills daily.
Regardless of which fast learning techniques you use, it’s important to practice your Kannada skills daily.
Daily practice is important to encourage your skills to keep moving forward, whether this is through immersion techniques or just studying daily. It can be tempting to study for hours one day and then wait a few days to study again. The problem with this is that your skills will backslide during your time away from learning, thereby slowing down your learning progress. If you make learning Kannada a daily activity, you won’t have to waste as much time relearning material.
