Can we learn German without going to classes?

After learning the alphabet and letter sounds, start to learn some “framework words.” These words are easy and common that will form the basis of your vocabulary building.

There are words that you cannot do without in English and think about those words look up their German equivalents. Few words are:

• Yes/no
• Please/thank you
• Excuse me/sorry

Learn the Vocabulary with Nouns, Verbs and Adjectives

Once you have finished learning some basics, expand your vocabulary with nouns, verbs and adjectives. Try to set a daily goal for yourself—for instance, learn three new nouns, verbs and adjectives every day.

Start Putting Sentences Together

If you learned some important German words then start to use the words to form a sentence. This way is efficient in learning German sentence structure and word order.

Later, you can practice using those words with rules for yourself. After learning this you can try to speak with others, people will probably know what you are trying to communicate even if you get the word wrong. But do your best to try and correctly order your sentences.

Memorize Reusable German Phrases

This is one of the “language hacks” that will make you learn real German communication faster.

Now you can start learning some basic German phrases. Similar to single words, begin practising simple phrases that you might speak on an average day.
