Russian Centre for Science and Culture in New Delhi

The Russian Embassy Culture Center (RCSC), located on Ferozshah Road in New Delhi, was established to promote the Russian language and culture in India. It also encourages Indian students to enrol in Russian higher education institutions. To name a few, the RCSC has a large library, a piano school, an art centre, a school of Russian classical ballet, a Mikhail Botvinnik chess academy, Roerichs’ art club, and an Eisenstein film club.

In Delhi, the RCSC offers a variety of part-time Russian courses. All of the programmes adhere to the guidelines of the CEFR and the TORFL — a Russian proficiency test. If you have limited time and are looking for short-term classes, this is probably the best Russian language institute in Delhi. Then you can immerse yourself in a fascinating Russian world.

IGNOU (School of Foreign Languages)

IGNOU SOFL provides a 6-month certificate in Russian (CRUL) via distance learning Russian Language and a 6-month certificate in Russian (CRL) via regular on-campus interactions.

Jawaharlal Nehru Academy of Languages

The JNA has divided 1-year intensive Russian programmes into two 5-month semesters. The semester fee is Rs. 12,500.

Jamia Millia Islamia (CELAS)

Through an entrance exam, the Centre for European and Latin American Studies (CELAS) at Jamia Millia Islamia offers a one-year part-time certificate, diploma, and advanced diploma in Russian.

Department of Slavonic & Finno-Ugrian Studies

Students at the Faculty of Arts can concentrate on Russian language and literature through the Department of Slavonic & Finno-Ugrian Studies.

JNU (Centre of Russian Studies)

The Centre of Russian Studies (CRS) is Jawaharlal Nehru University’s oldest centre, having been founded in 1965. The JNU holds an entrance exam for BA, MA, MA, and Ph.D. programmes in Russian.
