Introduction:

There are so many languages which we speak and all these languages are very much popular in the world. Some of these popular languages are german, Spanish, Italian, etc. Today I will talk about one of the languages which is very much popular, which is French. French is one of the most popular languages in countries like France, Guinea, Canada, etc. The French language follows CEFR rules. CEFR means common European framework of reference. Under CEFR, you can officially validate your proficiency in that foreign language that you have learned.

Under CEFR, there are six levels and these levels are A1 and A2 which are basic, B1 and B2 which are intermediate and C1 and C2 which are advanced. A1 is the simplest level and C2 is the toughest level. Please note that there are also exams associated with these levels and whenever you are ready for it, you can give it provided you have sufficient knowledge.

This language is the development of Gallo – Romance dialects, with the birth starting in Gaul. Today’s France and Belgium were once part of Gaul (western Europe). Gaul was being captured by Romans in the 2nd and 1st centuries BC, the Gaulish language came under fire. Latin captured Gaulish so it became the region’s captured language and people can choose this language so they can rise further in the society. With no choice left, people have to learn this language. Meanwhile, Gaulish dialects were no longer in place, but before they became depreciate, they passed on some 150 or so words to Latin. However, things did not go like this, when the roman empire expanded, the Latin language which captured the region was not literary Latin of playwrights.

Since the 9th-century french language has been separate from Latin which can be viewed as its own language, the roots of Latin are still there. When the german invasions took place, it had a big impact on the French language. When the empires collapsed, then Gaul fell into the hands of franks, vulgar Latin then further diluted by dialects from different regions.

Also, the Galio-roman population merged with the German settlers. Today french language has become one of the most popular languages in the world. Also, this language is becoming very popular in other countries as well. When you learn this language, then it opens the door for you to get a job, enables you to get admission in french speaking countries, and so on.
