Introduction:

Let me ask one question from each one of you: do you know more than 2 languages? Some of you may say yes and some of you may say no. In India, there are various languages that we speak. Some of these languages are Marathi, Gujrati, Tamil, Kannada, etc. Today I would like to talk about one language which is very common and an ancient language which is Hindi. Hindi is one of the most auspicious languages of India. It teaches the values, ethics, and culture of Indian society. In fact Ramcharitmanas has been written in this language by Goswami Tulsidas.

This language is being spoken in the states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, etc. Let me ask one question from those persons who are learning this language. My question is how you can improve your listening skills in Hindi since you are learning this language?. Do you need to study more?. Do you need to practice?. Do you need to watch something else?. Well, in this blog, I will try to answer these questions:

1. Youtube: Youtube is an online platform that will teach you anything including any new technology or even a new language as well. Similarly, you can also use this online learning platform to learn the Hindi language as well. You can watch the videos to improve your listening skills in this language. The best part of Youtube is that you can watch these videos at your own convenient time. You will also notice how the people are interacting in these videos which will help you in improving your listening skills.
2. Audiobooks: Audiobooks are nothing but a set of recorded files that you hear instead of being read aloud. Similarly, there are audiobooks available in the Hindi language which you can utilize to improve your listening skills in this language.
3. Talking to a person who knows Hindi: This is something very tough to find but nevertheless, you can try it. You can locate that person who can speak Hindi and you can request him/her to check your listening skills in the Hindi language. The best part is that you can always seek guidance from them to see how good you are listening in this language?. In case of any error, you can request them to correct you and tell you where you are lacking so you can improve it and can share their tips with you so you can improve your listening skills.
4. Watching serials and movies: Watching movies and serials can help you in improving your listening skills in this language. When you watch movies and serials in the Hindi language, then you just need to observe how they are listening, which will help you in improving your listening skills. In case if any person is watching with you serials and movies and who knows Hindi language, you can ask him/her to let you know what they are saying which will indirectly help you in improving your listening skills.
