How to learn drawing from scratch like a kid?
Drawing is a type of visual art in which an artist marks paper or another two-dimensional surface using tools. Graphite pencils, pen and ink, different types of paints, inked brushes, coloured pencils, crayons, charcoal, chalk, pastels, erasers, markers, styluses, and metals are examples of drawing tools (such as silverpoint). If you are a complete beginner and want to learn how to draw with a pencil, you must draw on a daily basis, even if it is only for 15 minutes. And in a few months, you’ll be able to draw without fear.
To accomplish learning from scratch, you need to understand and implement a fewthings differently.
Firstly, understand that when you begin, drawing is nothing more than a copying skill.
Drawing, like riding a bicycle, is a skill that can be honed. You had no idea how to ride it, but you did. You spent a few hours with an instructor and were now ready to go. What qualifications are required for this talent? Nothing..only instructions to drive slowly and carefully. Similarly, drawing from scratch necessitates practise, but this practice will only yield results if you are also motivated to keep going.
To learn how to draw beautifully, you must first learn how to redraw. You can’t even transfer it from your imagination if you can’t copy it from your computer screen. It will take more time to create a beautiful drawing. It will take a few hours to draw flat images from scratch, followed by a few more hours to draw from nature and learn theory, colour basics, and sketches. Only then will imagination, talent, exhibitions, fame, and other skills emerge as a result of practice.
What is the best way to begin learning to draw?
A friend of mine once told me that if you draw for 30 minutes every day, you can learn to photograph anything in two years (350 hours). I’m stupidly convinced.
Mistake1: You must be able to draw a straight line and a round circle in order to learn how to draw. This has nothing to with drawing at all.
Mistake2: Learning without a plan or a goal in mind. Don’t make this mistake,; it would prove to be a blunder. You will be demoralized beyond a point of return.
Mistake3: Lack of belief in yourself. If you do not trust yourself you will never be able to do it. So trusting yourself is paramount. It holds the key to your success!
Keep redrawing and improving from your past scribbles. Go by a step-by-step plan as well as a list of images for each day. If you’re going to study, you should know what you’re going to draw so you don’t get bogged down in the process of selecting a suitable image. It is critical for a beginner to learn to draw in stages.
Make daily assignments to draw, with an increasing level of complexities. Look for books to support your plan. There should essentially be an academic drawing: 10 pages of theory and 1 example. A step-by-step illustrations of what to do and how to do it, should not be replaced by, a mountain of text and recommendations – how to hold a pencil, which pencils to use, which strokes to use You want to learn how to draw something simple and enjoyable not go back to school.
Finally,
‘Why are you learning to draw?’ Is an important question you must ask yourself before jumping in; because it’s the answer that will help you sail through millions of obstacles!
Only when you discover your ‘Why?’, your “always wanted” to draw will not get translated into drawings. Finding you ‘Why?’ is probably the most important thing you need to learn.
If you want to learn how to draw, spend a day, two days, or even a week searching for your ‘Why?’! Draw anime, or graphics on the wall at home. To paint sunflowers for my mom. Sell a couple of paintings at a flea market. Illustrate your jokes. Paint your t-shirt or cup. Learn to teach your child how to draw and define your options.
Everyone learns to draw in school, and no one learns the ‘inability to draw’. If you still feel insecure to draw it probably because of flawed teaching methods and teachers, not you.
