Introduction:
Sanskrit is an important language of Indian society. Many people nowadays want to learn this language. This language is the mother of all languages. Yes, in eras like Satyuga, Tretayuga, and Dwaparyuga, this language was very much popular. Many Vedas and Upanishads have been written in this language. Our Rishis have given shlokas in this mantra. Gayatri Mantra, Navan Mantra, Mahamrityunjay Mantra, etc are all in Sanskrit. This Language is full of knowledge and has a lot of things to teach us about our Vedic culture and values which we have forgotten in today’s time.
The question which you should ask yourself is why do I need to learn this language?. Well, the reason may vary from person to person. The questions will be like why am I supposed to learn this language? What is my end purpose in learning this language?. These questions may vary from person to person. Some people say that their objective in learning this language is to teach Sanskrit to others. Some people say that they want to understand Vedas in this language. Hence, they want to learn Sanskrit.
English is also one of the best languages in the world. Before Britishers, we never knew about this language. Post-independence, this language acquired a lot of popularity. Now people say that they know English, can they still learn this language?. In this blog I will try to answer this question:
