Levels of the language tell us the proficiency of a person in a particular language. There is no meter or scale to find out your level of a language, but, for the sake of convenience, the grip on a language, a person has, is checked on three levels that are as follows:
Beginner:
A beginner is someone who doesn’t know a specific language at all. A foreigner or a total stranger to the language is a beginner. As a beginner, a learner has to learn Kannada starting from its alphabet, grammar, pronunciation and structures.
Intermediate:
When a person knows the basics of the Kannada language, can speak short sentences, understand normal conversational sentences, and only needs some bit of fluency then, the person is required to learn Kannada at an intermediate level. At the intermediate level, the learner learns more grammar, structures, complex conversations and achieves more fluency.
Advanced:
After completion of the intermediate level, the learner can study further to attain professional proficiency, at the advanced learning level. At the advanced level, a person learns the language in every aspect such as reading, listening speaking, and writing- at both, a casual and academic level, or formal Kannada.
So, I hope after reading the above discussion, you can check your level of Kannada well.
With this, I hope you would be able to make up your mind if you still haven’t and would be able to further your language studies by learning Kannada. You could learn Kannada to be friends with Kannadigas around you! After all, the native language of a speaker makes him feel at home.
