Introduction:
Modern Japanese is written in a mixture of three basic scripts- Kanji, which are Chinese ideographic symbols, as well as Hiragana and Katakana- two phonetic alphabets. There are a few Kanji characters, while Hiragana and Katakana have 46 each. Although there is a basic rule for when to use which script, there are many exceptions. And words are written in Kanji often have multiple pronunciations, depending on the context or conjunction. Since Japanese is as different from Chinese as it is from any other language, simply using the Chinese writing system was not sufficient, and a more appropriate way of writing Japanese is sought out. Some Chinese characters are not used for their meanings however for their phonetic value.
By the 9th century, Hiragana and Katakana scripts were derived from simplified Chinese characters that were used to write Japanese phonetically. When it comes to learning a language only learning and classes are not sufficient to become familiar with the language. So it takes another way which we can call Writing and it serves best to make further progress in the learning process.
Today, we are going to discuss some apps from which students can learn and enhance their writing skills in Japanese.
