English is currently the lingua franca of the world!
To be very honest with you, it is nearly impossible to look for expanding your career abroad and not consider learning the language of English. In fact, in many countries, it is taught as the first language, even though it isn’t the language of the land. On the other hand, the French do not enjoy the same status.
Considering the difficulty of language, in my personal opinion, French is an easier language to master.
Yes, this might come as a shock but in comparison, English is much more complicated than French. First of all, French makes it rather easier to spot genders in sentences. It is very easy to identify all the different gender patterns when compared to English wherein it is rather troublesome to figure it out. Secondly, when we talk about tenses, the past tense has always been an enemy for all English speakers as it is rather complicated to explain it.
The language of love loves its aspirants and is kind to them!
On the other hand, French does not make it so complicated. Most of the people who learn English consider learning other languages like Spanish, German or even Italian for that matter. With that said, French verbs are much simpler than all of these languages combined. Considering all these different factors, in my personal opinion, I strongly believe that French is a much easier language to master than English.
Both English and French have their own specific benefits that accompany learning it and their own disadvantages of utilising them.
Considering the popularity and the influential status of both languages, for an individual who wishes to learn either of these languages as their second language, it becomes rather difficult to decide which one is the best. Furthermore most of the people who truly decide to learn these languages as the second language generally belong to either the Hispanic, Arabic or Asian culture wherein their Home languages are nowhere connected to either of these two. Hence, it really comes down to which one is the easiest to master.
