Why is Telugu so famous?
The official or main accent of the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is Telugu, which is situated in the southern part of India. Telugu is spoken by nearly 75 million people all over the world, second only to Hindi in terms of native speakers in India. Telugu is a Dravidian language, according to linguistics and scholars the Telugu language is a gift of deity to the people.
That is, it is not a member of the Indo-Aryan language family, which includes Hindi, Sanskrit, Latin, and Greek. Linguists have determined that Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, four significant southern Indian languages, are also constituents of the Dravidian language family. There are twenty-one Dravidian languages in the Indian subcontinent if one counts. Some of these languages are still spoken in Pakistan’s rural areas along with the areas of Afghanistan.
Telugu is a language that easily accepts foreign terms. Sanskrit and its terminology have had a significant influence on Telugu literature; no other language has had as big of an impact on Telugu literature as Sanskrit. Indeed, many of the Telugu alphabet’s symbols were devised specifically to make writing and pronouncing Sanskrit words easier, such as many of the rising consonants. Scholars in Andhra Pradesh’s coastal regions have some of the best Sanskrit pronunciation.
